Dr. Brian D. Laslie
He is Ph.D. in History, Kansas State University, (2013), M.M.O.A.S, Air Command and Staff College in-residence, (2016), M.S. in International Relations, Auburn University at Montgomery, (2006), and B.A. in History, The Citadel, (2001). Currently he serves as the Command Historian to the Superintendent, US Air Force Academy. Principal adviser on matters relating to the USAFA historical program. Duties include planning, directing, and overseeing the historical program, preparation of the on-going annual history of the Academy, conducting necessary historical analytic studies in support of Academy needs, managing the preservation of key historical documentation detailing operational and planning activity of the academy, and supervising personnel in the history office to include GS, reserve officers, and volunteers. In the past, he was North American Aerospace Defense Command and United States Northern Command, Deputy Command Historian, (August 2012-May 2021).
